Amber Fort Jaipur

Amber Fort is situated in Amber (Jaipur), which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha tribe, till Jaipur was made the representative capital in 1727. The Amber Fort looks stunning, all-constructed in white marble and red sandstone. To add to its magic, Maotha Lake creates its forefront. The crystal mirror picture of the Fort, on the tranquil waters of the lake, appears to be a gorgeous illusion. Amber Fort is generally pronounced as Amer Fort. In 1592, building of the Fort was begun by Raja Man Singh I. However, the Amber Fort took its present form during the sovereignty of Raja Jai Singh I.
